EDITORIAL METHODOLOGY
Each Trekano program passes through a documented five-stage process — from initial source identification to qualified review and publication. This page archives the full procedure.
Published Research Review
The process begins with a structured literature scan across nutritional science and exercise physiology databases. Only peer-reviewed publications dated within 24 months of the program build date are eligible for citation.

Protocol Assembly
The filtered research is used to construct a draft framework. Each recommendation within the protocol is mapped back to its citation. Tropical-climate adaptations — hydration volume, activity timing, heat load — are documented separately at this stage.

Third-Party Batch Verification
Ingredient profiles in Trekano supplements are selected based on published nutritional research and undergo independent batch verification for quality and labelling accuracy. Active ingredients are sourced from documented suppliers, with each batch accompanied by a certificate of composition.

Professional Oversight
The assembled draft is submitted to a qualified wellness or nutrition professional for review. The reviewer assesses source currency, applicability, and framing against the evidence base. Recommendations from the reviewer are incorporated before the program advances.

Date-Stamped Release
Programs are published with a visible date stamp and revision number. The editorial archive retains the version history. A 24-month counter is set at publication; when the window closes, the program re-enters Stage 01 for a full refresh cycle.

Ingredient Sourcing Disclosure
Active ingredients are sourced from documented suppliers, with each batch accompanied by a certificate of composition. Sourcing prioritises suppliers whose facilities maintain food-grade processing standards.
The Trekano sourcing process applies three criteria to each supplier: traceability of raw material origin, food-grade processing environment documentation, and batch verification capability. Suppliers who cannot demonstrate all three are not used.
Indonesian ingredient sourcing — used in nutritional guidance for local meal planning — follows the same documentation standard. Whole-food sources with identifiable regional origin are preferred over processed alternatives where nutritional equivalence holds.
Certificate of Composition
Each active ingredient batch is accompanied by a certificate of composition from the supplying facility. Certificates are filed in the ingredient archive with batch codes.
Third-Party Verification
Verification is conducted by an independent body rather than the ingredient supplier. Reports are date-stamped and logged against the relevant program version.
Origin Traceability
Supply chain documentation records the geographic origin of each key ingredient. Traceability requirements are applied to all items in a given program's nutritional reference list.
No Trekano program remains in publication for more than 24 months without re-entering the full five-stage review process. The counter begins on the publication date.
Why 24 Months?
Nutritional science and exercise physiology research evolves at a pace where recommendations grounded in studies older than two years can diverge meaningfully from current consensus. The 24-month cycle is a standard applied across independent nutrition publishing and reflects the typical revision period for major dietary guidance frameworks.
Within the cycle, any study that significantly modifies a Trekano recommendation triggers an interim review regardless of the 24-month window. Material changes are applied immediately, with the revision date and summary updated in the published program.
Significant new research that modifies an existing recommendation initiates an out-of-cycle review within 30 days of publication identification.
Programs that cannot be updated to current research standards within a review cycle are deprecated with a clear archive notice rather than left in publication.
